The ATMS Project Progress Map provides real-time updates on the deployment of traffic signal controllers and detection systems, helping stakeholders track progress and monitor key milestones.

Note: The map is not yet active as the project is currently in Phase 1, focused on testing and certification to ensure system reliability before full-scale deployment.

Progress Map Features

The ATMS Project Progress Map will include two key components:

Controller Swap Progress

Tracks the replacement of approximately 3,000 outdated traffic signal controllers at signalized intersections across the county. This effort will take place over five years, with deployment anticipated to begin in mid-2026*.

Map of the nine zones of the project for the Controller Swap Phase

Detection Installation Progress

Monitors the installation of advanced detection systems at up to 600 intersections, supporting enhanced traffic monitoring and management. This effort is anticipated to be completed over a seven-year period.

Disclaimer: The deployment schedule shown on this map is subject to change. Implementation may vary by zone and year based on contractor productivity, field conditions, testing progress, and operational priorities. *The anticipated mid-2026 start date is preliminary and dependent on testing completion and overall project readiness. To maintain efficiency and stay within budget, sequencing and start timing may be adjusted, including shifts between zones that may not follow the original yearly plan.
